Like, phew, Snape's entire story is particularly horrible and creepy. Adults in positions of power bullying children and his mea culpa was "sorry, I tortured you and your friends, it was because teenage me wanted to fuck your mum." The fact that Alan Rickman, a man in his 50s was chosen to play Snape only made it worse because his age made it seem like he had been an active Death Eater for decades before Harry was born rather than the few years in the books.

it wasnt so much that he wanted to fuck him mom as it was that his dad had hung him upside down and made him flash the whole school. which isnt to say that snape is good, fuck snape, just that most of the characters are surprisingly garbage people.

A teenage bully isn't quite on the same level as a man who chose to become a fascist intent on exterminating the woman he claimed to love, then after being given a cushy second chance because he felt bad for spending years in a genocidal terrorist group he used being an adult in a position of power to bully and abuse small children.
"Your dad was mean to me 40 years ago when we were kids" is not a better excuse to abuse children.
