Emma Watson is always obviously herself pretending to be another person, she never uses her whole being to inhabit a character she's playing, not even Hermione after 10 years. Her characters' physical quirks are Emma's physical quirks (dancing eyebrows, breathless lines, always posh as fuck). But people love her cause she's charming on screen...
I don’t think zendaya has ever tried to present herself as sexy.
Her particular brand of stardom exists to primarily appeal to teenager girls and young women, she is pretty (but unthreatening), thin and stylish which makes her very aspirational to this demographic.
I think any smart young actress knows to avoid advertising herself as a sexy/male fantasy type because it means your career will have such a short shelf life. Zendaya has privileges from being a child star that allows her to have a no nudity clause so she has never been pigeonholed in this role. Her success is not dependant on her sexuality
Women and gay men have far better taste in women than straight men. Straight guy attraction is lizard brain caveman awooga shit, girls and gays assess and analyse.
women have a hard time separating out the aesthetics from their own unconscious urge to sabotage competition. i find they’re less likely to provide a reasonable assessment when the woman in question is an interactive part of her community.
Rooting for Nathan Chen so ONTD seethes, but I get the complaints about artistry being lacking for most male skaters after seeing Jason Brown skate. Like now I get what's missing.
*jaw drops to floor, eyes pop out of sockets accompanied by trumpets, heart beats out of chest, awooga awooga sound effect, pulls chain on train whistle that has appeared next to head as steam blows out, slams fists on table, rattling any plates, bowls or silverware, whistles loudly, fireworks shoot from top of head, pants loudly as tongue hangs out of mouth, wipes comically large bead of sweat from forehead, clears throat, straightens tie, combs hair*
The tweets are stupid bc they don't even know what it is now.
Closed in 2008 in conjunction with Beijing hosting the summer Games as part of an effort to reduce air pollution, the mill has since been converted into a space hosting shops, a museum and commercial offices, with plans in place to convert one of the cooling towers into a wedding venue.
