That was a reasonable discussion about child rearing. At 29 I'm like "Would I want children?", but then I think "I've always aimed to be unconventional, and i'd want an unconventional family"

The negative idea is that.
The positive one is taking her at her word.
Why can't it just be exactly as she explained? Why make it about him when she so strongly is saying it's about what she wanted at that time, which was to focus on herself and not a child?
