some on ontd are just painfully alone and know in their heart they will never find someone to procreate with in time and are too broke to do it alone and it's a sort of protection/armor to be like "i don't want kids anyway!!"

I've never wanted kids, but I also don't dislike them or mind when people talk about their own kids. It's bizarre to get angry just because someone mentions watching a TV show with their kid. People are going to talk about their kids. And their spouses, pets, jobs, hobbies, etc. Because wanting to talk about things you care about is a normal human behavior.
